200 BPM Metronome

This metronome is preset to 200 BPM — press play (or the spacebar) and it ticks 200 beats per minute. In classical terms 200 BPM is Prestissimo, as fast as possible. It's a common tempo for speedcore, fast bluegrass and technical metal.

What 200 BPM means

Tempo is just beats per minute, so 200 BPM works out to:

• 300 ms between each beat
• 3.33 beats every second
• 1.2 seconds for one bar of 4/4

A demanding tempo. Build up to it 5 BPM at a time; if you can't play it cleanly, drop back down until you can.

How to practise at 200 BPM
