Bass Guitar tuning: Standard — E A D G
A 4-string bass is tuned E A D G — the same as a guitar's lowest four strings, one octave lower. Because the notes are so low, play firmly and give the needle a moment to lock on.

How to tune a bass guitar
- Allow mic access and play the low E string open.
- Match E1, then A1, D2 and finally G2.
- Low notes read slowly — hold each note and wait for a stable reading.
